TLC : More Cookies?

The Super Momma 2:11 PM 0 Comments
This afternoon I made a fruit shake for our merienda so it will be ready when the kids wakes up. The usual fruit shake I make consists of 2 fruits but this time I added two more plus yakult (probiotic drink) to make it more nutritious.

Here's the finished fruit shake. A combination of apples, mangoes, bananas and papaya.

Meanwhile, my kids having merienda and eating cookies they had a funny conversation or should I say monologue from LJ since A just utter indiscernible sounds at the moment.

LJ : Aj's want cooties (cookies)? Here. Handed out A a piece of cookie. A was wiggling her hands of excitement. When A finished the whole cookie, LJ hurriedly grabbed the container and handed out A another one.
LJ : Moy (more)  cooties (cookies) Aj's? A dropped the cookie on the side of her chair. Oh no. Where? Oh here, dot (got) it. Then asked me if he can still give the cookie to her sisterMama, dity (dirty)?

I am happy that seeing my kids understand care for each other at an early age is priceless.

I would like to share a what happend early this morning while I was preparing our lunch. They were quietly playing inside the room and then I saw this:

Little A busy playing with lots of toys inside her bed. She seems to be enjoying fishing small objects under the big ones.

Then she flashed that smile showing off her teeth so that I won't get furious.

Oh my kids, they know how to melt my ego.

Picture this : A cranky mom who lacks sleep and rowdy kids inside the room.  Mom continuously asks her two year old son to keep her toys before sleeping time but complains every time either heavy or tired. When kids are then asleep that's when I start to clean up their mess. This is our mundane activity everyday.

Eversince I became a mom, I wanted to be hands-on with my kids. I have come to accept the fact that I will be no longer hiring someone to clean up the house because aside from it always a fail, I couldn't accept the idea that I am paying somebody to give me a headache for not doing the job well.

If there is one thing about technology I am thankful for, is making house moms happy for making the chores easy. To the continuos innovations, for making these devices easy to use and peopleware friendly. Thus alloting more time to bond with the kids. But sadly technologies aren't the same. We sometimes can go wrong with the choices of gadgets we get for our home thus compromising it's sole purpose. Sometimes we have the mentality that if it does the purpose then it can pass up the job. But it doesn't have to be like that always. It's like throwing away your investment. One thing that I learned being a mom, is to invest on best home devices. Because we can surely never go wrong and no one will take any blame for it.
My weekends are spent mainly for my family because it is the only time we get to spend more time with hubby because either he is on a business trip or have extended hours work at the office. Preparing something special for my family during weekends is my top priority and they make me more motivated to make a sumptuous meal for them. But when I prepare it using my loyal weird-making-noise-device, I would back off the idea. I couldn't seem to accept the fact that I am terrifying my kids with these gadgets. Being a health junkie, I would love to serve them healthy fruit shakes to complete our healthy meal weekend and having this baby in my kitchen can do me wonders. I never thought that my favorite brand created the idea of making a happy home by minimizing terrifying noises made by devices at home.

A happy customer of my fruit shake

My kids are very sensitive to weird sounds ever since I can remember. I always get to hear my son whenever I use the blender telling me "top it" (stop it) or "ee up" (switch off) because he gets scared of the sounds. In cleaning the house, I would rely on my ever loyal broom, brush and cloth for that matter. Since I have allergic rhinitis dust cleaning is hard work for me. When I have allergies attack it cripples me thus compromising the supposed to be happy weekend with them. When hubby got us a vacuum I was so relieved because finally, my chores will be easier and will be spending much time with the kids and cleaning time will be shorter. But I was wrong. A vacuum that is, creating a disturbing noise terrifies my kids. Thus ending up keeping it inside the box again and back to my loyal broom for cleaning. When I saw this vacuum, I think it should be included in my wish list for the year due to the benefits it brings. Indeed innovations are best especially if it's made to keep us happy mommies and life easy.

I would love something new and reliable technology to be part of my mundane activities. Having them around makes my household chores easier and family happier. Family always comes first being a mom and it what makes me more inspired to be the best for them. After all, the purpose of me staying at home is to get to spend more time with my kids and be the master of my own home.

TLC : Oh no Wig!

The Super Momma 11:04 PM 0 Comments
Before I share with you my TLC, let me rant about something first. I went out early morning to go to the grocery. It's not really that early because it was past 9:00 am already. Since grocery store is near our place like 2 blocks away I just walk down the street and go through street vendors who occupied mostly the sidewalk.

When I went out the grocery store it was traffic! Trucks, padyaks, SUVs and cars everywhere and suddenly it dawned on me pasukan nga  pala sa office. I was walking back to our apartment when I heard a tricycle honking behind me and I heard  the driver complaining that I should walk on the sidewalk not the street. Take note, he's doing a counterflow! Ang kapal talaga! He didn't stop ranting as if he was doing the right way and I raised my voice and told him,"kapal ng mukha niyo counterflow nga kayo jan!"

But at the back of my mind, "tumabi na lang ako ng bongga at wala itong pambayad ng reconstructive surgery ko in case banggain niya ako."  Oh please LTO don't release licenses to these kind of abusive and arrogant drivers.

Anyway, the past days I was busy doing my own OMBRE effect that I want to achieve like this. I asked J to go with me to Hortaleza and help me pick a color for the full effect of my OMBRE. He was either supporting me or telling me to get it done professionally. Lol Either way, I will DIY it.

J : Are you sure with what you're doing?
Me : Of course!
J : If you damage your hair don't blame me. I already told you to get it done professionally.
Me : Love, as if we have an extra help to look after the kids while I get this done!
J : Oh I forgot. Anyway, if you damage your hair don't tell me I didn't warn you. I'll buy you nice wigs instead. Still you will look great!

There goes my ever loving J making fun of me.

Sorry love I had to share this. Lol

Anyway, I will share it with you what happens to my mini DIY project. I bought myself a Keratin treatment and hoping this will work on my long hair after I do the last color for my OMBRE. The saleslady told me to use it everyday for best results. Let's see if it works and will let you know. It costs p155 for a big jar and I think I will be able to use for a month or less.

Meanwhile, I was cleaning J's toes when my LJ try to ogle what I am doing and suddenly J farted!

LJ : Oh no! Papa, UU. We were both laughing. BUt LJ was puzzled and looked at J's behind to see if there was really UU.
Me : No baby, papa farted it is different from UU. J farted again.
LJ : Look mama! UU papa.  LJ checked J's behind again.

Oh our little boy is growing so fast. Excuse my TLC today if you find it offensive.

What are your funny conversations with your tots? I'd like to hear them.

Summer is near and it’s time to hit those resorts/beaches and get that sunkissed skin! It has been 2 years since the last time I enjoyed a summer getaway because its either I was pregnant or have a small baby that needs my dire attention.

Little girl just turned a year old and my little boy is 28 months old enough to enjoy summer with them and have fun as a family. Boredom has really motivated me a lot to go with J to one of his out of town business meetings. Since it was only roughly 3 hours from Manila I brave my way going with him despite the yayaless situation we have.

It was our second time in Urdaneta City with the kids but the first one I was with my sister so somebody was keeping my toddler busy aside from me. But this time, I do all the manning from keeping them busy along the way and feeding them en route to Urdaneta. I must say it was hard but the pride that I was able to handle it all throughout is priceless and we get to enjoy our mini vacation as a family.

The night we arrived at the resort

Whenever we go to Urdaneta we would check-in in the nearby and accessible hotel which is the Lisland Rainforest Resort Aside from having a nice resort and cozy rooms their resort is toddler friendly due to the 2 feet pool for kids. For more information on their room accommodations visit their website here.

Little boy had so much fun and loves the babut (water) so much

Where do you plan to spend your summer getaway? I'd like to hear them.

This photo is a regram from my SIL who came with my brother to visit the kids. LJ got so scared standing on top of the toilet while I fix the shower head. He looks like he saw a monster here. I am preparing him for evening shower which he pronounce as "shayer".
Yesterday we went to the first birthday party of my god son at Fun Ranch in Ortigas. The party was supposed to start at 2:00 in the afternoon but we arrived at 4:30  already! Lol. What happend? As usual when I ask my little boy to hurry up and keep his toys because we wil go go go he doesn't seem to listen and worst is he will just play while I get ready and finish all my chores. While on our way to Ortigas all the possible delaying tactics happend already from unexplainable traffic to taking the wrong street! Oh well, it happens.

It was my second time at Fun Ranch (yes,we live far from the area that's why) I didn't know that they have venues where they hold their events I only knew of the fun rides for kids there.

Moving forward, when we arrived at the venue they have started and almost done with the party. They were having clown performance already. G who is the host of the party asked LJ to sit infront and join the kids while we get something to eat. A little while, my baby boy who is sleepy (time for their aftie nap) was already crying! Oh boy.

Little boy hiding in the play area

After we finished our food, J asked LJ to play on the other side of the room because they have a small play area but he just stayed on one area until the puppet show is finished. Then the character Sponge Bob went out already to amuse the kids but sadly my kids are no fan of mascots. Well, I guess this is not their type of birthday party. Even A got scared already because she was looking away and wiggling her feet trying to escape.

Little girl looking away from spongebob

After the birthday party we went to the play area to let the kids enjoy the some rides. LJ wanted the bumped car ride but unfortunately he is only 36 inches tall and the required height for  most of the rides is 43 inches. Way to go my love! Instead, we had a train and carousel ride. LJ had fun and little girl was amused with the sights. Hope we can do more family day like this.

How about you? How did you spend your weekend? Hope you had fun.

TLC : Cockroach

The Super Momma 12:30 PM 0 Comments

LJ hurriedly went out of the room shaking and screaming as if he saw a monster.

LJ : Mama! Mama! Yook (look)! Crying holding his toy car
Me : Why are you crying baby? What happened? Still puzzled because he was shaking and scared. I thought he was scared of his toy car which produces sound. But then,
LJ: Mama! Cockcoach (cockroach)! Cockcoach (cockroach)!
Me : Show me where is that cockroach mama will remove it. Then he pointed a small insect lying on the floor still scared and shaking. I found myself laughing because my son is scared of a small insect smaller than his toe!
LJ : Tityu (thank you) mama!
Me : Welcome baby.

He got scared because of this small bug

Till my next TLC.
