Every holy week, it has been our practice that we only stay at home, much like my childhood. I cannot yet get my children go to church because they are just so rowdy and wouldn’t concentrate to attend the Holy Mass yet.

But after the Holy Week, I am in the look for the most coveted activity after the sorrow, which is the resurrection of Christ, that is Easter. When we were kids, our parents and Aunts have always prepared something for us during our simple gathering every Easter Sunday. That is one tradition I would like to retain to my children because I know it will remain in their memory bank just like I did.

There were a lot of Easter Events offered in Metro Manila but since this will be our very first and I am not yet sure which one to get, I got an invite from one of the newest hotels in the metro, the B Hotel in Quezon City. Their ticket price is P888 for one adult and one child. They have fun activities in store for the kids as well as adults that will be attending the event.

I am just thankful that I get to take my kids. The place was decorated like a barn and the place has promised a fun filled day for the kids. The event started with games for the kids, the adults and the most fun part, which is the Easter Egg Hunting which has a lot of surprises for the kids.

I have briefed my kids to take as much as eggs in the brown bag but the twist was they have to get two big eggs as well the ones with sticker on it for a wonderful surprise. One of the lucky kid was my little girl who got herself an egg with a surprise.

After the egg hunting, they also had the magic show, which was the most fun part because the kids as well as the adults enjoyed it too! I sure did! It was also followed by the question and answer portion for the pet animals and for every correct answer, kids will get to take home their pet of choice!

But since my kids was busy loitering and looking at other kids’ pets, they missed the fun part but they were just kind enough to give my little girl her most coveted pet which is the rabbit. She was just so happy because finally after the longest time, she has a pet bunny now!

The Easter event was surely a fun event for us because we got to celebrate it as a family and the food was soo good too!

If you want to escape from stress and have a nice staycation, you can inquire at their hotel and look them up on facebook: B Hotel Quezon City.

Have fun!
Summertime is here! The best way to enjoy the season is to get that sun-kissed skin because almost everyone of us is planning on our next summer destination. In doing so, we also need to keep ourselves safe as well as our children.

I must admit, I am not the right person to do that because I am not an expert swimmer. For the past two years, I have been meaning to enroll the kids to swimming lesson but the schedule always doesn't permit. This time, I have no more excuse since Bert Lozada Swimming School (my top choice) has convinced me to do so.

They invited mommy bloggers to their anniversary last Saturday at Ace Water Spa and introduced the their programs to us as well as the school's structure. I must say, I am more than convinced already to enroll the kids and I hope myself too.

When my sister and I was window shopping at Watsons we came across the Ever Bilena counter and we saw their new products. It instantly caught our attention with their new line of lipsticks and swatched each one of them. All I can say is that, it was loooooovvveeee at first sight! I am very much impressed on how they made improvements in their products.

In this line of lipstick, I believe if not mistaken it has six different shades but initially I only got the darkest shade and regretted it when I got home! I should’ve bought each one of them because it wasn’t available in our nearby grocery store.

But two weeks ago, I saw them again from a grocery store and got additional shades that I liked best. All I can say is that, it has become my favorite liquid lipstick so far!

Let me tell you more about it.

Packaging. It comes in a tube plastic container and a doe foot wand applicator, which makes it easy to apply. You will not worry about chapped lipstick or getting broken in the long run. Its packaging reminds me of the Maybelline liquid lipstick products.

Formulation. The color pay off is excellent and is very pigmented. The lipstick is very creamy in consistency and not sticky when applied. It doesn’t have strong scent as well.

Longevity. The darkest shade from this liquid lipstick line can stay on my lips the longest possible is 6 hours without retouch. Being the darkest shade, it is very hard to remove with just pure water and can still leave a stain on the lips compared to the other shades. While some of the lighter shades can stay for 3-4 hours only.

Availability: Widely available on leading grocery and drugstores nationwide.

Overall thoughts. This is a very good drugstore product if you are in a tight budget since a tube costs P180.00 only. It is easy to apply and can moisturize the lips however some color tends to settle on the fine lines of the lips that is why it is best to apply lip balm prior to its application and make sure also to exfoliate the lips. It will be a go to lipstick since it comes in a liquid form and I will not be worrying about my lipstick getting broken inside my make up pouch. I highly recommend this product to some of you who doesn’t want to splurge so much on beauty products and a good value for money.

For the past few months, I was in a hunt for a primer because the primer I was eyeing is not available from my favorite online shop. So I decided to search for a good primer which has a good value for money. I came across one product that some of the youtubers are recommending which is the QuickFx.

Honestly, I am not familiar with the product since I really don’t have the opportunity to go out that often. According to the packaging, it is a product of Korea. I am never fond of Korean products not until I was able to try this. It was like love and hate relationship I must say.

If I am not mistaken, Quick Fx has 5 products available at Watsons. But I only got three of which because I feel like those were the only ones that I needed. They have eye cream, the no shine skin mattifier, CC cream, tinted moisturizer as well as the pimple eraser. From their product line, I got the following: No shine skin mattifier, Eye lift cream, and the CC cream.

Will list down my thoughts on each of the product:

No Shine Skin mattifier

Pros:
  • It instantly mattifies the skin leaving a powdery finish.
  • Erases large pores making it invisible.
  • Controls the oil for about four hours maximum.
  • Glides smoothly on skin.
  • Doesn’t have sticky feeling on the skin.
  • Lightweight.
  • Odor free.
  • Travel friendly.
Cons:
  • Some of the foundations/BB creams tend to crease with this pimer.

CC Cream.

Pros:
  • Can give an instant glow to the skin.
  • Corrects skin color with prolonged use.
  • Odorless.
  • Doesn’t have a sticky feeling on the skin.
  • Lightweight on the skin.
  • Travel friendly.
Cons:
  • Creases a lot on my skin and makes my pores more defined and visible.
  • It is too white for my skin tone.
  • Available in one shade only.
  • Tends to cake also after 5 hours.

Eyelift Cream

Pros:
  • Refreshing to the eyes.
  • Works well with some of my concealers that tend to cake.
  • Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles with continued use.
  • Lightweight on the skin.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Odorless.

Cons:
  • Cannot think of anything.

Price: Their products ranges from P50-P90, not bad for a travel sized product.

Availability: It is available at any Watsons Drugstore nationwide.

Five years. It has been that long that time has swift by so quickly. I didn’t even know I would be able to sustain it here in this cyber world. During the past years, all I can think of was to share experiences to those struggling mommies out there. And yes, I think I have fulfilled my purpose and will still continue to do so.

Last year, I made that big change because I felt like my name isn’t appropriate anymore especially with the new addition to the growing family. For the third time, I was again blessed with a little boy. So I made a huge change and I am revamping my cyber nook. You will see me more in here despite my overwhelming responsibilities as a mom.

This month has been extra special to me since it is my birthday month and also the month the original blog has came to its existence. Now that I felt so blessed last year it’s now time to give back to you. It is timely that it is International Women’s Day and I will have to share that love to three wonderful readers of mine.

These are items I personally purchased with my money as well as something from my shop. Its already summer and its time for you ladies to be pretty! Are you ready? You know the drill right?

Let me tell you a secret, I am too lazy to take care of my skin. So I am really not fond of skin care products because either I am too lazy or I just don’t feel the need of doing so. But last year, was the major transformation in my life. During the whole nine months of my pregnancy, I had this very bad dry skin on my face. Too bad that it was so painful already and I thought it was the end of it all! Where in fact all I needed to do was give it its much-needed attention. So the journey to my skin care begins.

The start of the year was pretty good in fact; I gave myself a pat on the back for finishing some of the products, which is sitting on my stash for a long time already. Then when everyone was into Korean beauty products and skin care, I didn’t pay much attention until I saw a certain product from a vlogger who swears by it.

A company has recently launched their site and made it open to the public, which is the Althea Korea. Their site offer skin care and beauty products from different brands. Some of their products can be bought from the stores here in Manila and others, which are exclusively from Korea. So yes, I will try Korean products this time!

You know why I was able to convince myself to visit and shop in their site?

  • They are on SALE. Yes, that is the magic word! I love that their products are way cheaper from the stores.

  • Online shopping. Who doesn’t love retail therapy by the way? A SAHM like me that I don’t get to go out from the four corners of my house, online shopping is the best and convenient option for me.

  • FREE SHIPPING. I had to do it on capslock to put an emphasis to it. Yes, I love free shipping most especially that my items will come from overseas and you know the horror stories of the post office here in Manila. I bet you do not want to go through it. The best thing is, it will be delivered on your doorstep!

  • Packaging. I appreciate how they carefully packed the items to make it more presentable and avoid any damage to the items. They carefully bubble wrap each items as well as the box itself.

  • Payment. Their payment is through Paypal and credit card. I chose to pay them through credit card, as I do not have enough funds in my paypal account. Easy peasy right?

Right now, I am enjoying all the products that came with the box. I love each one of it! I have my new favorites with regards to my skin care and beauty products and I cannot wait to order and try other products as well.

By the way, if you will get P150 credits once you sign up and free shipping for orders worth P1500 and more. Sure a good deal right?

Let me know what Korean skin care products you like and share it with me on the comment box.
