Women become a different person when they have their "red days". Most often, they are not in total control of it but their hormones and does crazy things. So whenever a woman expresses anger out of hand during their red days, most likely it is their hormones talking. Unfortunately, I had my own fair share of horrifying stories during those red days and I am not proud of it. HAHA. Because yeah, it's my hormones talking.

For several years I have been struggling of menstrual cramps before the red days. Name it, I have experienced most of the signs of pre-menstrual syndrome (headache, extreme craving for weird food, bloating and worst of it--mood change). My menstrual pain has been on and off ever since I had kids. There are times that I couldn't even walk because of the pain but some days are just fine.

I have heard good things about these Anion napkins that they address to all women's worries during their period days. Been wanting to try it as well for the longest time but every time I remember trying it, it is either my uterus is pregnant and mommy brain problems. And I was given an opportunity to try it and was sent after new year. I waited for my period to come and tried it immediately. I already lost hope to using pads after giving birth to my youngest but then, this one made all my napkin frustrations go away.

My favorite amongst the variants.

Jeunese Anion Napkins has anion chips that works wonders. It releases negative anion when it comes contact with moisture and works its wonders. Here are some things I liked about it:

1. NO ODOR. I kid you not, our menstrual discharge smells like Marigold but this one has none. I even forgot having period because I do not smell it down there.

2. NO IRRITATION. I have my flow usually for five to days and most of the first four days are heavy and I have no choice but to wear it over and over. My skin when it comes in contact with something synthetic will cause irritation and I would stop wearing pads on my fifth day. Now, I could wear them until my last drop.

3. BARELY THERE. Their pads are ultra thin and you will barely notice you are wearing one! Plus points is that you don't smell anything down there when you have your period.

4. WIDE PADS. This is one thing that is quite off with most of the pads in the market. They are so narrow that couldn't absorb those spillage on the sides of the napkin. It also supports absorption by their wide pads especially through the night.

5. RESEALABLE PACKAGING. This for me is genius. I have been using pads some two decades ago and this is the only brand I know that has resealable packaging which in my opinion is hygienic. The pads I have used is just messed up whenever I open it.

Jeunese Anion pads comes with variants of with wings and without wings and pantiliner as well. You can order them from Lazada and buy them at your nearest grocery stores nationwide.

JOHNSON’S® celebrates its 125th year; A Legacy Built on Science and Love
JOHNSON’S® has been pioneering and setting global standards in baby skin care for families globally since many can remember. This year marks a special milestone as JOHNSON’S® celebrates 125 years with a series of activities to celebrate its legacy in creating a safer world for babies and their families in the Philippines.

If kilay is life, liptint is life also for me. There was a phase in my life where I'd hoard every new lipstick in the market. But suddenly, I grew tired of it. BOO.

When I purchased my first liptint and knew how versatile it was for a busy mom like me, I had already a thing for liptints. In a span of a year, I bought several local and foreign brands and of course there were mixed emotions about it. There is just something about it that tells me still, they do belong to the same mother but unique in every way.

It is about time for me to throw some of it because I have been using it beyond six months already. Do not get me wrong though, I store my liptints in a cold and dry place (refrigerator) that is why, I could still use it beyond it's shelf life. Now it's time to hunt for a new local brand when suddenly I came across the owner of the brand I have been eyeing to try for the longest time.

Anyway, so much for blabbing here and let's get to the review.

Packaging. It comes in two packaging, one in a roller bottle and the other one which is similar to Benetint which has a cute brush on it. I like it as there is precision when applying the product on my lips when I layer it. The only thing is that, you really have to be careful of spillage when using the product.

Consistency. It is a water tint so the product is somewhat runny but it is so lightweight that you will not feel any product applied on your lips.

Longevity. The product lasts on my lips for as long as you do not remove it, most especially when you layer it. But when you eat oily food, some of the product will be wiped off. If you also use it as a cheek tint, it stays longer than regular powder blush most especially when you put it on with a base (foundation/BB cream). Just make sure to put some products on your ring finger first to avoid streak finish on your cheeks and do not forget to blend it.

Color Pay off. As what I have said in my instagram post, it was love at first swipe. You can get the color in one swipe. As you layer also, it turns into a matte finish, just like what the brand claims.

Price. It is affordable for those who are looking for an affordable make up. One tint costs P120 pesos and a little goes a long way.

Availability. You can get them online at shopee just search, Purple Fairy Organics, send them a message through their facebook page: Purple Fairy Organics or you may visit their website here.

Here are the swatches on my arm. For reference, I am Morena skin. My top three favorites are Red Jasmine, Violet Heather and Coral Aurelia.

Final thoughts.

I would recommend this to all moms who are on the go and looking for affordable and versatile products. Their dark tints also doesn't have the stingy sensation when applied to the lips unlike other local brands. You also need to be careful when applying this on your lips not to stain your teeth as these are water tints and might come in contact easily with your teeth. The best thing about this is it is organic and local product. You know very well that I support local products and as much as I can, promote them here in my blog but of course those that I have tried and tested and that really worked for me.

2017: A Roller Coaster Ride

The Super Momma 4:54 PM 0 Comments
Days before the clock strikes twelve and turn into another year, I tried to reminisce the year that was in general. In those times wherein I struggled the day in order for me and the kids to get by, the days where there were happy problems, and most of all the days wherein everything else were chaos.

The start of my 2017 was a bit frustrating. Well, not really about family thing, but all other uncontrollable stuff that I do not want to elaborate further as it is just bad vibes for me. The first quarter was really challenge as I was really pissed off of our situation that time and that I was forced to look for a new place  because our apartment was already a toxic place to live in. In those years that I prayed, God must have really answered them in the most unexpected way for He has given us what we needed. But the challenges that came with it was really to test our faith in Him. First quarter of the year has passed and we already moved to a new home, moving to a more peaceful, quiet and kid-friendly place was what I wished for my children to grow up with, away from  the busy life at the center of the business district.

Packing and organizing our stuff while taking care of three children was a challenge. But in God's grace, I was able to do it and heck I didn't know how was I able to manage packing all our stuff whilst energetic children. I am just so thankful for my family who were there for their help. But despite all that happened, I am just so happy that finally we are able to move to "our" home.

We also celebrated my daughter's birthday at Baguio, something to be thankful for because we were still able to squeeze in family travel before the mini chaos began. The kids enjoyed the cold weather as well as my youngest. This time, they do remember now their travels and not only in their pictures.

This year, I have two schoolers, one in Kinder and Grade one and I am glad that they were able to adjust in the new school and environment. Our everyday life is twice as challenging as those in our old place because of unpacking and organizing our stuff, but still we/I still manage to survive.

My son turned seven this year and thankfully, he only asked for a simple Jollibee party with his classmates as his guests. With technology, I was able to book his birthday virtually and able to plan things ahead for him. He was so happy how it turned out and says thank you to those who went.

All those stress inducing events and roller coaster ride of emotions has taken its toll on me. I have neglected myself so much that my resort was stress eating. This will be a wake up call on me to take care also of myself not just my family. And this year my main goal is really to manage the food I eat.

Lastly, I am just so thankful for my family for giving me strength everyday to cope up with all life's challenges, for the extended family for extending their help when needed, for the friends who were there to listen and for all the brands who supported this humble space of mine. I am so grateful for all the blessings. This 2018, may it bring us more blessings and be able to share them and more collaborations to come.
