Where have I been lately? I have no idea that a week has already gone by. It seems like that the holiday rush kept rushing to kick off the year already. I apologize though for the time I have been MIA because I was a little under the weather plus I have to do a general cleaning of the house because finally I was able to put up the tree and placed minimal decorations for the holidays.

I know that some of you have already prepared and listed down the menus for the Noche Buena and gifts were already wrapped and placed them under the trees. As for us, we enjoyed the Kids Craze sale during the past week and feast our eyes with marked down toys there and my kid-at-heart loverboy was a happy camper after he finally get to take home his long time fancied robot. Will do a separate post for this.

Anyhow, it has been my practice that I list down my wishlist for the upcoming year so that I would have something to look forward to. It may not be realized but at least I know I have to do better to fully realize it.

  • Update my insurance. Ever since I stopped working, payments have already been stopped and I forgot already about it until now.
  • Open kiddie savings for the kids. It has been a tough year for us but I am thankful that we get by each day. Hopefully the upcoming year will be much better and be able to finally save more for the kids.
  • Do pole dancing. I know there will a smirk on the face of the Loverboy but this is something that I want to try out to shed off the excess pounds. I know I have been guilty for gaining weight for the past year but this time I have to practice self-control.
  • Have an office table/Vanity table. My goal for the upcoming year is to have less clutter in the house and finally set up our office space corner for the Loverboy and me.

  • Update my make up kit. I hope to be more positive for the upcoming year and be more confident to face all the challenges.

That's about it for now. How about you? What do you look forward to? Have you list down your wishes for the upcoming year already?

Advance Happy New Year!
When a person reached the age of 20’s they will be on the look for products that will improve their skin and remove unwanted entities. There are a lot of products in the market that gives promise of a beautiful you. So many products that sometimes takes so much effort to place just all sorts of creams in different areas of the body, which oftentimes makes no difference at all. Have you ever experienced it? I, for one tried all sorts of lotions and facial creams but instead of removing entities it makes it worse.

What does it take really to have a good skin? Aside from having healthy diet, moisturizing and cleansing the skin, also making sure to stick to the safe way of treating the skin and no to exposure of too much chemicals.

When I became a medical professional, I was on the look of innovative, safe and effective way of getting rid of unwanted entities; at least a package treatment that would cover all my needs in one sitting. Who doesn’t want an all-in package, especially that achieving a beautiful skin takes a lot of time and effort.

That’s where an innovative treatment comes wherein it treats numerous skin problems. RevLite is a modern aesthetic laser treatment by Cynosure. It uses multi-purpose wavelengths to offer maximum power and versatility for a broad range of skin types. It utilizes an extreme high-speed shutter to produce nano-pulse widths that enables highly effective procedures but with less heat and increased safety. RevLite is a non-ablative laser that uses PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse (PTP) energy for quick full-face treatment options with no downtime and with minimal discomfort. Which means that RevLite targets the collagen-producing layer of the skin to promote better collagen production and increase the skin’s elasticity. It has precise wavelengths of light energy to go deep within the layers of the skin where topical serums and creams cannot reach (even the branded and expensive products available in the market!). As a result, the laser therapy creates an immediate rejuvenated appearance, smoother skin texture, even skintone, smaller pores and subtle hair removal. It's perfect for removing sun and age spots as well.

What skin issues can be treated by Revlite? Here’s a list:
  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Pigmentation
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Melasma
  • Birth Marks
  • Pore reduction
  • Tattoo removal (full color spectrum)
  • Vascular lesions
  • Port wine birthmarks
  • Dermal lesions
  • Hair removal
For having tried the RevLite treatment two weeks ago, it made a dramatic change to my skin the past weeks. My pores were smaller, my skin was less oily especially in the morning I had less facial hair (won’t be needing threading anymore) as well as smoother skin. I felt beautiful in the past weeks and was really so ecstatic about the results of the treatment. Allow me to show you some of my shameless selfie.

Don’t you just love to wake up to the aroma of the coffee in the morning? Something that will jumpstart and will your day a productive one. I must admit that I have those dull and lazy moments that sometimes need a little kick to make me even more worthy.

Coffee and I have this exquisite relationship. It has become a routine in my day that having to skip it sometimes makes me feel incomplete. Few years back, when I was still in college, I would usually make a coffee shake as a beverage for brainstorming in our thesis projects. It has also been a beverage buddy during those days when I was still working in the hospital and keeps me alert during night shift. It was also our first drink when Mr. Lover and I dated for the first time. It was also my relief from the headaches when I was gravid. Those are the few reasons why coffee plays a big role in my life.

Being a coffee junkie means standards are set high thus ready to mix beverages doesn’t seem to satisfy the palate anymore. Oftentimes, they all just taste the same albeit with different packaging and brand names. If you’re wondering how I was able to came up with that conclusion, well I tried almost everything being sold in the market and none of them already pleases my palate. For me, nothing still beats the grain coffee freshly brewed and prepared according to your own taste.

There were times that I have to hunt and try few grains of coffee offered in the market with the promise of good taste. I am glad that a Brownbag Coffee solutions was in my radar during the Blogapalooza 2013. I was able to meet my future partner buddy in the morning. The creaminess, the strength and the aroma instantly tickled all my senses. I knew that it was genuine coffee not the commercial coffee that is sugar-drizzled-with-coffee-grains.

What are you waiting for? Share the rich taste and aroma to your loved ones by sending them some brown bag that might be the perfect gift they are waiting for. Brown Bag Coffee Solutions offers different variety that will suit your needs and satisfy your palates. Share the rich aroma and taste and Make it a Brownbag Christmas!

When Sorry Isn't Enough

It’s a parent’s primary duty to raise our kids and protect them from any harm. As a parent of a toddler, I try my very best to raise my kids the best I see fit. But what if beyond circumstances suddenly an innocent kid was accused of hurting person? As a parent how will you deal with it?

The kids and I went to a nearby mall for a weekend bonding. We decided to have dinner at the food court adjacent to the grocery store since it was the nearest fast food I know. After we had our orders, we walked our way to vacant table. I carefully held my kids as we go through the tables and chairs because the area was crowded that time. After we settle down and prepare for our dinner, a lady in her mid 40’s and big body built approached me with rage in her eyes and in a loud voice told me, “Miss, yung bata yung bata dinale ako dito oh. Wag kase kayo dadaan sa masisikip na lugar. Yung bata dinale ako dito. Ayan oh!” I was caught unguarded because she came out of nowhere and she was really furious. My mind was still puzzled and there was only one word came out of my mouth. “I’m sorry.” Then she left and sarcastically said, “sorry?!” While I was trying to feed the kids, thoughts kept rushing in my mind and trying to rewind what happened. It was way impossible for my son to hurt her since I was looking at him, holding his hand and kept telling him not to touch anything and for a woman her age to be furious to a kid who has a medium built compared to a three year old kid who could impossibly hurt her as she claimed. I thought of taking a photo of her or even tell her that if she was really badly hurt then I would suggest that she goes to a nearby police station and have the incident blottered. On a second thought too, we were in a food court and it was supposed to be crowded area not unless she wants VIP treatment, then she should go to a fine dining restaurant. Or, she could have told me in a nice manner that my innocent kid hurt her in a nice manner but I just can’t imagine what kind of pain did my kid did to her to be furious like that. Anyway, may she find enlightenment in her soul.

My dates
Now, I just don’t understand why people like her even exist. It was the very first time I had to deal with an accusation involving an innocent kid. This post is not intended to spread negative vibes in this cyberplace but to share as a mother my daily experiences and for parents to keep informed that there are few people like her. As a parent, how will you feel about it?

Holiday Cheer

The Super Momma 11:30 PM 0 Comments
Few weeks ago while I was busy cooking dinner I heard my son sang the Jingle Bell song. Even though the words weren’t clear, I knew he was singing a Christmas song. But how? We haven’t played a Christmas song in our house. Little did I know that he learned the song from an application in his ipod. Oh kids these days!

I can’t believe that it’s only few weeks before Christmas and with all the holiday decorations everywhere, it sure does feel like Christmas already. Last weekend, the kids and me went to a nearby mall together with J. We decided to stroll around the area while waiting for J’s meeting. But since the meeting was dinnertime and we were all hungry, I decided to have dinner first at the food court from their favorite fast food.

I have been going back and forth at our nearby grocery with only the kids and me and so they knew already where we are heading. There is something about grocery stores that they are so giddy about, maybe because they see a lot of food? I guess so! Anyway, the nearby food court is just adjacent to the grocery store and so off we go. They were surprisingly behaved and followed my instructions very well. We ordered the usual meal from McDonald’s, which is the Burger Meal and Sundae. When we were settled an untoward incident happened.
Santa and the crew at Landmark
After our dinner, we headed to a nearby hotel to meet J. While en route to the hotel, we saw Santa and his friends near the exit of the mall. Little D told the Santa, “where surprise?” Oh boy, that’s what you get you load your kids with too much information.

When we were inside the hotel, numerous Christmas trees with different sizes greeted us. Now I feel so guilty for not having a tree yet. Then again, little D told the man wearing costume, “where surprise?” Now that makes two surprises in a day. Boboy, you better have a good surprise for the kiddo then.

How about you? Did you put up decorations already?
