Veggie Bola Bola With Mackerel + Unipak Giveaway (CLOSED)

My family loves fish and we eat fish almost every day as well as vegetables. I make sure that the food I serve the kids has high nutritional content. That is why I make extra effort in preparing them meals every single day.

When we moved, it was quite hard for me to keep up with we used to because sourcing food was so much easy back then. Right now, the only option is to stock up on food for the entire week. This of course is quite a challenge because I need to serve the whole troop healthy food as much as possible.

I am glad that there is Unipak Mackerel where we can still enjoy fish even if it is canned and of course a good source of Omega 3 also. This gives me hope in continuing to provide the family the best healthy meals everyday dahil hindi basta nakasanayan the best yan.

In this post, I am sharing with you a tamang kain recipe which is good for picky eaters and young kids who are just about to explore their first food. This includes vegetables and Unipak Mackerel as a good source of protein and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

400g Kalabasa, boiled and mashed
1 Eggplant, roasted and peeled
1 small can Unipak Mackerel, drained and mashed
1 onion, julienned
1 cup malunggay leaves, chopped or you can use Malunggay powder (optional)
1 cup Bread crumbs
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
cooking oil
mayonnaise

Procedure:

1. Boil the Kalabasa until translucent. Let it cool and mash.
2. Roast Eggplant and peel off the skin. Mash.
3. Add all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
4. Fry in medium heat.
5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. We used mayonnaise here in this recipe.
