QualiMed: Alagang Abot Kaya

Everything in this world comes with a price tag, from the skyrocketing price of prime commodities, utilities and the most health care. It comes with the saying; quality comes with a price. Coming from an institution where everything comes with a steep cost, I myself can attest to it. I have seen patient’s bills that I myself couldn’t imagine that people shell out large amount of money for health sake. Now it got me thinking what about the marginalized society? I just can imagine how many of them suffer from diseases left untreated because of the pricey medicines they have to buy yet couldn’t even afford to have a full meal in a day. Reality bites.

If there is one thing that our government should pay more attention is our health care. Compared to other countries, which offers promising health packages, we can really say that we belong to the third world country.

So glad that there are few that tends to cater to the C market with regards to providing quality health care. QualiMed is a network of health care facilities owned and operated by Mercado General Hospital in partnership with Ayala Land Inc. Committed to fulfilling the brands promise of their three A’s, accessibility (ease of financial and physical access), affordability (Price predictability and competitiveness), and appropriateness (quality service and genuine care).

During the mommy bloggers’ event, we got the chance to tour around the QualiMed located at Taft Avenue (former University Physician Medical Center) as one of their health care facility; I must say that I am quite impressed with their facilities. They are very competitive when it comes to keeping up with the latest technology in providing health care to the people.

Dr. Mercado
Let me take you to a virtual tour.

QualiMed is at par when it comes to diagnostic procedures they offer. They also have a synchronized queuing system which you can keep track from the monitors situated everywhere even in the cafeteria.

They also use a pneumatic tube, which transports laboratory results, medicines in less time.

The good thing about them is they have day-surgery center which allows you to have minimal stay in the health care facility, which also then minimizes the cost of your hospital bills.

Compared to other health care facilities, they offer a competitive cost to the diagnostic procedures they offer.

You can now experience quality health care with QualiMed in the following branches:

Trinoma Mall, Quezon City
Fairview Terraces, Quezon City
Metropoint, Pasay City
Cebu Business Park, Cebu City
UP Town Center, Quezon City

They will also open more hospitals all across the Philippines and one will open by the third quarter of this year in Iloilo, three more will open by third quarter next year in Bulacan, Bacolod, and Laguna.

Besides undertaking the QualiMed partnership venture, MDHI also owns and operates the Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center (DMMC), a tertiary hospital in Tanauan, Batangas, and the DMMC Institute of Health Sciences (DMMC-IHS), a tertiary health care education institution.
