Halloween is a festive occasion where kids have a license to dress like creatures from scary dreams. The nightmare for parents, however, comes from the toll the holiday takes on children’s teeth. While many youngsters are all smiles thanks to the bags of free candy they get from trick-or-treating or Halloween parties, those sweets can turn their pearly whites into an awful fright. That’s why it’s important for parents and caregivers to have a plan in place to avoid a dental disaster.

Schedule a Dental Exam

Keeping up with regular dentist appointments is a crucial step in maintaining a child’s oral health. It takes on added significance, however, around events like Halloween and Christmas when children may be consuming more candy and cookies than normal.
