Road to Financial Freedom

“Spendthrift” is my mom’s mantra for how she handles money. As soon as she started giving me monetary money when I was in 6th grade, she would tell me not to spend everything, especially on the things that I do not need. Thanks to my mom, I learned how to save in a piggy bank early on. But as I grow up, things change. I learned that to live a decent life, we need to work hard for the life that we want. But being a nurse in my country, the salary is not enough to feed our family let alone live a comfortable life. I have three children and pets at home. To sustain all our needs, I need to find ways how to earn in addition to what my husband is earning. I started to find ways how to earn passive income and a steady stream of income. Growing up, I know that once you graduate from college and earn a degree, you can earn a living. But there was a shift of mindset when I was exposed to the power of social media. Admittedly, it helped me open doors to many opportunities including learning di

Celebrated #MBPChristmasParty2016 with Fellow Mommy Bloggers

Beautiful Mommy Bloggers

When I became a SAHM, my social life was limited to online socialization. Quite weird in any sense but, it was how it worked for me for at least for the past 5 years of my life. So I always look forward to holidays where there is existence of other real people. I don't regret though because eventhough I have bunch of hulabaloos everyday of my life, it was and will always be my choice to be with my children and see them grow up.

When I became a member of the mommy bloggers group some three years back, I would always look forward to celebrate a real Christmas party with them. Most of them are like me, a SAHM and blogs for the sake of sanity (LOL) and just vents out their talkativeness in the cyber world. But for the past two years, I wasn't that lucky to join them yet. Because two years is just worth the wait, finally I am able to celebrate social life out of our house and in the real world.

Our Christmas party was held at Pancake House in Quezon City and very intimate with only 20 mommy blogger attendees. Was really lucky to be one of them and I get to know them more. The event's place was designed by (Buzy Bee events) and felt that somehow despite the small space, it was a magical Christmas.

The party started with a long list of assignment. LOL. But kidding aside, I loved what we did because my mind did a lot of work at some point and became creative at least for the 2 hours of the party. Moving on the program, we had to introduce ourselves with each other and at least somehow get to know them a little more as well as socialization.

Pancake house treated us an afternoon of their sumptuous meals. Everybody has a full tummy and I get to take home my kids' favorite pancakes. After eating, we had mini games and everybody was just happy because of the generous sponsors and all the prizes we got.

Everybody was lucky that day and didn't go home empty handed. Almost everyone won a prize. If you are following me on my instagram, you probably knew already that I will be sharing with you another staycation that is sponsored by eGetInnz because I just won their staycation! So yay for that.

To all our generous sponsors, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

The Mommy Bloggers Philippines “Thanksgiving Party” was made possible by generous sponsors and a team of mommies who love this blogging community.
Thank you to Pancake House Tomas Morato who provided us with a lovely and cozy venue while also serving us a buffet lunch and their special dish the Hot Chicken Roast available until December 31, 2016.
Our venue was beautifully decorated by Buzy Bee Bouquets and Balloons while our photos were taken by Julianne of When Worlds Collide.

Our generous sponsors, Robinsons Supermarket, eGetinnz, Coconut George, Great Expectations and Maternity, Lorins, My Phone, San Pedro BBQ Sauce Atbp, Shopback, Tupperware, Downy, Mommy Mundo, Cusina, and Human Nature were generous in their support, giving us giveaways and prizes.
