Early this year, I made a wish list that includes a front load washer. When it comes to our laundry, I am very meticulous as to how our clothes are well taken care of. Luckily, midyear I was rewarded with a frontload washer. So laundry is now an easy-peasy task for me.
Let me share with you some of my laundry essentials:
- Laundry organizer. If you can have lots of it, it would be much better. I use it to sort socks, underwear and small clothes for small people. Lol.
- Clothes pin hanger. I use this to hang socks, underwear and hankies.
- Hangers.
- Clothes rack. I use indoor clothes rack because it is more convenient for me to hang and fold clothes as well. Plus the ventilation and heat from the room has dual purpose.
Laundry Tips:
- Sort the dirty clothes especially underwear and place it in the laundry organizer. Make sure to sort it according to color to prevent color stain and to prevent tangle of clothes inside the washer. When you take out the laundry organizers from the washer, it will be easier for you to hang clothes in the clothes pin hanger, this is a much more organized way of doing it as well as prevents from misplacing a pair. It is also an organized way of folding clothes.
- Use hangers when hanging long sleeves as well as clothes which needs ironing, this way when the clothes dry, it will be easier to organize which ones needs ironing or not.
- Colored clothes should be inside out when washed. This is to prevent from color stains from other clothes.
- Make sure to choose the correct program for your laundry to wash your clothes effectively.
- If your clothes are heavily soiled, you may use the program, which requires hot water, this way, you are also killing the bacteria plus the oil is very hard to remove or you can treat the clothes first before putting it inside the washer.
- Clothes and rags should be washed separately to prevent cross contamination of bacteria present on the rags.
