Glorious Coffee That's Good For You

My husband and I loves drinking coffee. In the morning, it is our bonding moment, to sip and eat bread and talk about our plans for the day. But recently, he was diagnosed to have Diabetes Type 2. So I abruptly cut his coffee from his system because he cannot take black coffee. He is really sad about it but I am trying to figure out how to incorporate coffee again in his system. For decades, coffee had received a bad reputation. Besides allegedly triggering high blood pressure, insomnia, and hyperacidity, the Filipino habit of adding lots of sugar and cream to one’s cup has been said to aggravate diabetes. While there’s no denying the Pinoy coffee fan his morning cup, there is concern over the amount of sugar present in commercial 3-in-1 coffee mixes. The leading brand has 14.6 grams of sugar in one 20-gram sachet alone. Imagine how much sugar you’re taking in if you drink an average of three cups of coffee a day. What About Sugar-Free Coffee? Product Review : Godiva Natural Skin Care Products

Few weeks ago, I received a package from Godiva beauty products for review. The timing was perfect since I was in search for products to try this summer season. The intense summer heat causes my skin to dry and oily at the same time therefore attracts dirt.

I have been using different beauty products in the market, I must say some of them may meet my expectations and give promising results but not really that satisfying. If I am not mistaken this product appeared in the market several years back but I wasn’t able to try them out yet. And now that they are back, they have a total new packaging as well as new line of products.

Facial Products:

Facial Cleanser. (Php 85.00) This product is a low foaming formula, which is the prime reason why I like it and is gentle on my face. The first time I used it left my skin soft and smooth without the usual harsh and pricking sensation from facial soaps. I also like the gentle sweet like cucumber smell from it and also don’t irritate the eyes. It doesn’t also dry the face after washing.

Facial Toner. (Php 89.00) This facial toner is also a must have facial regimen. I must admit that I skip this phase due to laziness (guilty) and with the notion of the facial wash does the job for the face. But when I used this I was amazed of how it actually made my face cleaner and feels moisturized. It also gentle to the face as I didn’t have the pricking sensation and felt harsh after the application. My face feels fresh and light every after application.

Facial Cream. (Php120.00) During the first day I used this facial cream, I had small breakouts and my skin was flaky on some areas. On the third day of my regimen, I noticed that my breakouts were slowly vanishing as well as some of the flaky areas. My face feels hydrated and my pores decreased in size too. Again, the product didn’t cause any irritation on my face and untoward reaction.

  • The only thing I don’t like about the product is that it doesn’t have a SPF, which is also an essential since we need to protect our face as well from the harmful rays of sun. I would highly recommend it to everyone primarily because it is a natural product, it is not costly, plus the above-mentioned verdict.

Body Care:

Whitening Soap (Php 69.00 -135g, Php 35.00- 65g) The soap comes in clear formula with low suds that is easy to rinse and leaves a silky feel that kept my skin feeling moisturized the entire day. It doesn’t also contain strong scent, which is sometimes irritating to my nose.

Whitening Lotion (Php 132.00) Among the rest of the products sent for review this is my favorite and I apply it twice a day. It should be a staple for every woman especially for me that I wash dishes most of the time and do the laundry. It has a fruity smell, which resembles to the scent of cucumber and doesn’t have a greasy finish on your skin. It also feels light that you will enjoy applying it on you arms and legs even thrice a day. The best thing about it is that it has SPF which is just enough for me since I don’t go out more often. The only sad thing about the product is that it comes in a small container for someone like me that is a heavy lotion user, this product is only good for a week or even less. Nevertheless, it has excellent results that leave my skin so smooth and nourished.

Whitening Antiperspirant Deodorant (Php 89.00) I was glad to have tried this new deo product since I just don’t try any deo products in the market and even put to waste those that doesn’t satisfy me. This product has worked its wonder on my underarm. Being odorless it doesn’t have an untoward smell when I sweat. I even used it on our 4-kilometer jogging every weekend and surprisingly satisfied me with the results. It doesn’t also have harsh feeling once applied on the underarm skin.

  • I would highly recommend this body care products as well to everyone because they are gentle to your skin for someone who has sensitive skin like me. I couldn’t say anything I don’t like about the, because I am highly satisfied.

Godiva Natural Skincare uses purified licorice extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra) with the highest glabridin content. Glabridin whitens by suppressing the formation of melanin, the pigment that gives color to the skin. Over time, the old layer of the skin is replaced by whiter, creamier skin. This makes licorice one of the most effective all-natural skin whiteners known to science. This makes it especially safe for pregnant and breastfeeding moms.

I would definitely repurchase their products and you may also try them by visiting their facebook page here. They are also ship worldwide, you may visit their website here.
