Road to Financial Freedom

“Spendthrift” is my mom’s mantra for how she handles money. As soon as she started giving me monetary money when I was in 6th grade, she would tell me not to spend everything, especially on the things that I do not need. Thanks to my mom, I learned how to save in a piggy bank early on. But as I grow up, things change. I learned that to live a decent life, we need to work hard for the life that we want. But being a nurse in my country, the salary is not enough to feed our family let alone live a comfortable life. I have three children and pets at home. Yesterday, I heard a knock from the kids’ room. The little boy normally knocks the door to let us know they’re awake already.

D : Hi mama!
Me : Good Morning baby!
D : Going downstairs. Getting some toys and handing it over to me.
Me : Okay wear your slippers, were going downstairs.
D : Going downstairs mama. Repeats three times.
A : pweeeeseee!
Me : Yes baby! We are going downstairs.

And she just said pweeeese!

We were almost finished with our lunch and I asked Dodo to finish the food so I can rest as I still felt back pain yesterday.

D : A, yook mama mosquito bites ouch finit food.
A : eeeeeee! While waving her spoon in front of his brother.
Me : baby finish your food. I didn’t say mosquito bite, I said my back is ouchy.
D : Hey A! Finit food yook mama ouch. Kiss mama ouch. Hey!

Teka nga, siya pinagsasabihan ko na tapusin na food eh pinapasa sa kapatid. Talaga naman oh!
