Glorious Coffee That's Good For You

My husband and I loves drinking coffee. In the morning, it is our bonding moment, to sip and eat bread and talk about our plans for the day. But recently, he was diagnosed to have Diabetes Type 2. So I abruptly cut his coffee from his system because he cannot take black coffee. He is really sad about it but I am trying to figure out how to incorporate coffee again in his system. For decades, coffee had received a bad reputation. Besides allegedly triggering high blood pressure, insomnia, and hyperacidity, the Filipino habit of adding lots of sugar and cream to one’s cup has been said to aggravate diabetes. While there’s no denying the Pinoy coffee fan his morning cup, there is concern over the amount of sugar present in commercial 3-in-1 coffee mixes. The leading brand has 14.6 grams of sugar in one 20-gram sachet alone. Imagine how much sugar you’re taking in if you drink an average of three cups of coffee a day. What About Sugar-Free Coffee? Sunday Photodiary : The Reason

The house is silent and all the things are in place. The living room was so tidy and the floor is squeaky clean. Bed was neatly done and blanket was properly folded. The fridge was full of adult unhealthy food. I often woke up late and most of the time pampers myself alone in a salon with no reason to wake up but attend to myself only.

Life before was empty. The house may be tidy but it was dull. Silence amidst the music was deafening. Waking up each morning was never worthy aside from working to pay my monthly bills. Life was a cliche back then.

Today, our living room is messed up and more a lot like chaos. Toy cars underneath my pillow, which makes it uncomfortable to sleep, and a messed up bed with stuffed toys on my head. A cupboard filled with healthy food and baby food. More days of short sleep and empty pocket. No more night out with friends and visit to my favorite malls and no more visit to salon.

I know life had a drastic change since both of you came into our lives. I was so blessed to be your mother and gave me the chance to take care of you. You brought us so much joy that it makes every morning worthy waking up knowing that I have a reason to.

Life before was tidy yet it was lonely.

My life will never be this happy without you. I have a lot of things to thank for and the first one is having been entrusted with two lives to take care of.

I love you both.
