Glorious Coffee That's Good For You

My husband and I loves drinking coffee. In the morning, it is our bonding moment, to sip and eat bread and talk about our plans for the day. But recently, he was diagnosed to have Diabetes Type 2. So I abruptly cut his coffee from his system because he cannot take black coffee. He is really sad about it but I am trying to figure out how to incorporate coffee again in his system. For decades, coffee had received a bad reputation. Besides allegedly triggering high blood pressure, insomnia, and hyperacidity, the Filipino habit of adding lots of sugar and cream to one’s cup has been said to aggravate diabetes. While there’s no denying the Pinoy coffee fan his morning cup, there is concern over the amount of sugar present in commercial 3-in-1 coffee mixes. The leading brand has 14.6 grams of sugar in one 20-gram sachet alone. Imagine how much sugar you’re taking in if you drink an average of three cups of coffee a day. What About Sugar-Free Coffee? Zumba Workout

So what's keeping me busy lately? This little thing called addicted to getting fit. Since I can't do jogging, yoga and outdoor workout due to my current state of being a SAHM, I tried to look for options where I can do the workout at the comfort of my own time and home.

I have been hearing about the Zumba workout several years ago and one of my friends even invited me to try the Zumba class in Gold's gym but since I was pregnant that time with my first born, I told her next time. But I think next time means close to impossible doing it in a gym. So I searched for instructional videos online where I can download and do it in the comfort of my time and home.

But what is Zumba by the way? Yes, I had the same question before. All I heard was it's a dance. Yeah, I love dancing but it's like forever that i haven't done it. My last was way back in college roughly 11 years ago! (Gee I'm old!)

Anyway according to dear friend wikipedia, Zumba is a Colombian dance fitness program and involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hopsocasambasalsamerenguemambo,martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included.

I found this video in youtube and tried it on, after several years, it was again the time that I actually sweat alot! I did it together with the kids and they enjoyed it! I caught my little girl swaying in her playpen and jumping on her pace.

So if you love dancing, you might wann try this kind of workout. But before engaging yourself into strenuous and extensive workout, remember to keep a water handy and do stretching first. You don't wanna end up dehydrated and with sore muscles the next day.

So what about you? What kind of workouts have you tried? Share your thoughts.

xoxo,
