Post Partum Hair fall

Three months after I gave birth to AJ I noticed a tremendous amount of hair fall each day. Be it in the bathroom, hair brush and even in my pillow. I always end up not brushing or even combing my hair the entire day. It came to a point when I actually cried because I noticed that it was really that much of a hairfall. I already tried alot of anti-hair fall shampoos and gave it sometime to notice the effect but to no avail. My best solution was to tie my hair and do not comb after bath. Just imagine how my hair looks messy the entire day. Boo!

I felt relief when I tried to google it and found out it was a normal situation months after giving birth and I can't do anything about it. It will eventually normalize when my baby turns 9 months - 1 year old.

Been observing it since my baby girl is now 9 months old but still notice my not normal hair fall. One thing is for sure that every pregnancy is different. You may expect a lot of surprises that makes us feel that each of our babies are unique.

Here are my references : baby center and what to expect

Meanwhile I'd like to share my hair fall remedies:

  • Eat a balanced diet.
  • Use a wide tooth comb especially if you have long hair like me.
  • Use anti hair fall shampoo and conditioner.
  • Get a hair cut up to the manageable length.
  • Massage scalp with virgin coconut oil and leave overnight may be done every other day.
Have you experienced the same? Share your thoughts.

Till my next blog.
